Theme: Walking In The Consciousness Of A Reward
Text: Revelations 22: 11-16
What makes others to fall in the yester years should not make many to fall these days but because man is a bad student of history, we don't live to learn from what happened and trust God.
Oftentimes, the church has deviated from the original plan of God and we are careful of those things God has given to us.
There will always be a day of reward, there will always be a time to give to everyone according to how works shall be.
Walking in the consciousness of a reward means that whether we like or not we shall move and we are in a walk in the journey life. Some people are poor and they don't know. Some are sick and they don't know but others know and they not conscious of it. It means to live our lives in consciousness, in awareness and in knowing through what we do, where we go and what we eat.
Reward has to do with what is given for value to what has been done. Whatever we are doing and saying shall be equally rewarded. What we say and how we say will also be rewarded.
In this text, the writer of the book of Revelation John the beloved, who many people believed we lived forever because he was too closed to Jesus when he was with them. John faced a lot o troubles and he was to able to endured that a day is coming that the will be free from every trouble.
The concept of reward go beyond taking possesses of the earthly kingdom but the one that will ushered us
Why The Need For Reward?
1. The need for reward is because life is short. As we're living our lives we must be aware that this life we live is too short to toil with. There we must be conscious in order to receive reward of our deed.
2. Resurrection is imminent. After this life, there is resurrection so if there is nothing beyond this world, man is just a carcass. There is life beyond this world, your position and ministry. There is a need to walk ithe consciousness that there will be reward. 1 Corinthians 15: 2.
3. Heaven is enough to repay you and hell is equally enough to repay you. Jesus is pointing to the fact that life is not about what we get from it but the value that we've added to it. In whatever you do, there is a divine reward coming whether be it heaven or hell.
4. God knows who you are. God is the one who knows everything. Revelation 22: 13. Before you were born, he knows all what you will transfer to. There is no man that can tell you what God has for your life. He is the alpha and omega. He has the understanding of his fullness for your life. God will not reward you in a way that tell people about his unjust. Man is fallible in his judgment but God has all the power to make you. Many people have become hypothetical in dealing with their superiors thinking that men can reward the but they have failed to realized that God is the rewarder of good works.
The reward of God is according to the right measure. The measure of God determines.
Requirements For Reward
Revelation 22: 14
1. Washing the robe. To present in disposition in the right measure before God. Anything there is anything contrary to words of God, you have to check yourself. There is need for daily examination of oneself. You need to wash your robe. Be clean for the work so that you can have reward for the work.
2. Revelation 22: 17. The calling of Jesus by the church to stay. If Jesus should come today where would you be? Whatever you are called does not matter but what matt is the consciousness for the reward from God the Alpha and Omega.
Conclusion
There are many things to enjoy in offices according to the enjoyment of that office. There are royalty to enjoy according to the royalty offic but when Jesus come where you be?
